A lifelong love of sound

From childhood curiosity to a working life in music, editing, restoration, and audio finishing.

Sounds By Swayze is my audio practice — built from a lifelong love of music, listening, and helping recordings become clearer, more meaningful, and more complete.

2010

I came to audio through music first — making records, chasing sounds, and learning how a small change in tone, space, or texture could completely change the feeling of a song. Over time, that same close listening expanded into mastering, podcast editing, restoration, archival work, and audio cleanup.

Whether I’m working on a podcast, an old tape, a self-produced record, or an unusual installation, the goal is the same: help the essential parts come through clearly, without losing what makes the work human.

The values behind the work

Care

I try to understand what matters before deciding what to change.

Clarity

The goal is audio that feels easier to understand without losing its humanity and impact.

Taste

Knowing what not to do is often as important as knowing what can be done.

If this feels like the kind of help you need, let’s talk.
